Why Is It Important to Implement a Good Analytics Tool?

Abr 1, 2025

We take this point very seriously, and we often tend to be exhaustive when trying to convey how crucial it is to have a properly configured tool tailored to our clients’ organizations.

But… how does the implementation process work?

Our process consists of three main stages:

  • Defining a taxonomy aligned with the business.
  • Deploying the solution across products.
  • Continuous improvement and ongoing training to maximize its potential.

– But is it really necessary to go through this entire process? How does it compare to other solutions that promise agility and can be up and running in just a few days?
– It’s not that our process isn’t agile. In fact, we place a strong emphasis on defining a clear timeline and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with the plan to go live as quickly as possible.

After all, even the best analytics tool on the market can be a complete failure if the necessary precautions aren’t taken when ingesting data correctly. That’s why Amplitude doesn’t track anything unless the client is fully aware and wants to track it. We firmly believe—and have seen firsthand—how even Amplitude has been disregarded and put «out of the way» on the journey to becoming data-driven due to a poorly managed implementation process.

When companies finally decide to adopt a tool like ours, we want to ensure it’s a decision they won’t regret—that it becomes a core tool within their organization from day one and that, within a few months, they feel proud of their choice. We understand that taking this step isn’t always easy, and many believe that becoming a «data lover» isn’t for everyone. However, we are convinced that it is achievable with the right teamwork.

An important part of our daily work is prioritizing the review of our clients’ taxonomies to ensure everything is working as expected, understanding what data is being ingested, and verifying that it aligns with business objectives.

And what do I mean by taxonomy? According to the Royal Spanish Academy, taxonomy is «the science that deals with the principles, methods, and purposes of classification.» The word “science” immediately takes us to a laboratory—something serious that cannot be overlooked and must be handled responsibly to avoid major issues.

This is why, after deciding to work with data, our focus is on helping you create a solid taxonomy. I’d like to invite you to read our guide (written in Spanish), where we introduce the proper way to create one and explain how it serves as the core document for building a data-driven culture.

Perfect. I’ve created my taxonomy, which took me quite some time given my limited experience in the field. But thanks to Product Minds, I was able to shorten the process and feel confident that I’ve done it right. What’s next?

Without a doubt, expertise is key, and that’s where we want to be present for you, dear readers. We didn’t just come to this region to sell a solution—we came to provide you with the support you deserve and make this journey smoother and more efficient by walking it together.

The next step is to start integrating the tool into your product. Don’t worry—our SDKs are ready to help 🤓. We provide open-source code, making it much easier to get everything set up. Whether you’re working with JavaScript, React Native, Flutter, iOS, Android, or other technologies, you’ll find everything you need in our dedicated developer section.

And to answer your next question—yes, we’ll be there. We’ll continue with our weekly sessions, where your dedicated Customer Success Manager—who by now will feel like part of your team—will assist every member of your organization. Little by little, you’ll start tracking the agreed-upon events according to your taxonomy. We always recommend—and will be very clear about this—that you start in a test environment before deploying to production. We’ll conduct all necessary QA processes, and the big day will arrive when Amplitude is finally active, running in your product, and delivering immense value to your organization.

Now, I have an organization with a number of employees who need to start using the tool and managing data effectively.

This is where the moment of truth begins—the phase where the hard work of the past 30 to 45 days starts to pay off. It’s when we finally begin collecting data, processing it, extracting valuable insights, sharing findings, and continuously iterating on the process.
